The NHL "may"not suspend him. Think it depends on his mtg and how he sticks
to whatever plan or program the NHL places him in.
At least that's how I read this: (from the WP)
HL deputy commissioner Bill Daly and the Capitals released separate statements Friday, stating Kuznetsov voluntarily has sought help though the education and counseling program and has agreed to a regular testing protocol relating to his involvement with that program.
Additionally, Daly stated Kuznetsov has agreed to an in-person meeting with Commissioner Gary Bettman to discuss his situation and review his conduct before the start of training camp. The statement does not mention any disciplinary actions for Kuznetsov, but leaves the option open pending Kuznetsov’s meeting with Bettman.
